To contribute your media to the Marine Geoscience Data System Media Bank, please fill out our Metadata spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) . Email the media and spreadsheet to media@marine-geo.org.

Description of each field
1) File Name - The full name of the file you are contributing
2) Media Title - The text you wish to appear title for your media. This will also be the link text
3) Contributor Name - Your name (Last, First)
4) Contributor phone - Your phone number (format: xxx-xxx-xxxx)
5) Contributor email - Your email address
6) Investigator Name - The name of the person who created the media (Last name, First name)
7) Investigator phone - The phone number of the person who created the media (format: xxx-xxx-xxxx)
8) Investigator email - The email address of the person who created the media
9) Expedition/Compilation Name- The name of the expedition or compilation from which this media was created (fill in N/A if there is none)
10) Feature ID - The geographic feature name associated with this media (fill in N/A if there is none)

11) Data Type - The type of data this media represents
   - Accepted values:
12) Category - The category/categories to which this media belongs
   - Accepted values:
13) Platform Name - The platform with which this media was collected
14) Dive Name - The dive name during which this media collected
15) Line Name - The line name (e.g. Camera Tow name) during which this media was collected
16) Device Type - The device used to created the data contained within this media
   - Accepted values:
17) Subject Device Type - The device shown in the media (fill in N/A if there is none)
   - Accepted values:
18) Media Type - The type of media
   - Accepted values:
19) Nav Type - The navigation type relevant to this media
   - Accepted values:
20) Funding Sources - The source of the funding used to acquire the data and/or generate this media
21) Permissions for use - Enter 1 if the full resolution image should be made publicly accessible or 2 if access to the full resolution image requires approval
22) Caption - The descriptive caption to associate with this media (50 word max)
23) species name(s) - List the Latin and common names for any species featured in this media
24) start_date - The start date/time this media acquired (format: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS)
25) start_latitude - The start latitude describing the geographic location of this media. For maps, use the Northern latitude.
26) start_longitude - The start longitude describing the geographic location of this media. For maps, use the Western longitude.
27) stop_date - The stop date/time this media (format: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS). Only necessary if the data were acquired over a continuum of time.
28) stop_latitude - The stop latitude describing the geographic location of this media. Only necessary if the data were acquired over a continuum of space or time. For maps, use the Southern latitude.
29) stop_longitude - The stop longitude describing the geographic location of this media. Only necessary if the data were acquired over a continuum of space or time. For maps, use the Eastern longitude.
30) Depth (m) - The depth at which this media was acquired (in meters). Only relevant to oceanographic data.
31) Copyright Organization ID - The name of the organization that has copyrighted this media. (fill in N/A if there is none)
   - Accepted values:
32) Reference - The full reference of any publication in which this media appears.
